By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 13: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that international powers have increased their activities in the country to defeat revolutionary forces in Nepal in the upcoming elections.

Chairman Prachanda said so while addressing the provincial level orientation programme for cadres of the Maoist Center.

"Efforts of the foreign forces are underway to eliminate revolutionary forces and ensure only two parties remain the political landscape of the country," he said, adding, "Therefore, the upcoming elections need to be taken as a battle to be a must won."

He argued that republican setup, federalism and provisions for inclusion will get defeated if the Maoist Center loses the election.

"We might go to a new and long campaign if we get defeated in an election in the time when the works related to the peace process are not completed and the federalism and republican set up not yet fully institutionalized," he said.

Senior leader of the CPN (Maoist Center) Narayan Kaji Shrestha urged the party cadres to create an environment for the party to win the election.
