Children's magazine Muna marks 32nd anniversary

By Santosh Subedi, Kaski, Apr. 11: The Gorkhapara Corporation's children focused monthly magazine Muna marked its 32nd anniversary amid a special dialogue programme here in Pokhara today.

The magazine organised a dialogue between the children and Gandaki Province's Chief Minister Krishna Chandra Nepali Pokharel to celebrate its anniversary.

During the dialogue, the children asked the Chief Minister about the provincial government's role in issues pertaining to quality education, health, natural environment and protection of Fewa Lake.

In response, CM Pokharel said that the provincial government was committed to ensuring a quality education to children and that works were underway for allocating sufficient budget for proper education, health and nutrition to children in the upcoming budget.

Speaking on the occasion, executive chairman of the Gorkhapatra Corporation, Bishnu Prasad Subedi, expressed happiness over having to celebrate the 32 anniversary of the Muna with the talented children in Pokhara.

"We understand today's children are quite talented. It is extraordinary merit on the part of the children to be curious on social transformation and prosperity. We will include all such matters in the upcoming issues of the Muna and also come to you through digital technology," he said addressing the dialogue programme.
