By Dharbendra Jha, Dhanusha, Mar. 22: Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' on Tuesday said that the risk of regression has not been over as yet.

The leader of a major ruling alliance stated so while addressing his party's Madhesh provincial-level ideological and political training programme.

He pointed at the way the main opposition CPN (UML) continued with the obstruction of the proceeding of the House of Representatives as part of attempts to turn the country to regression.

"We saved the country from regression in the past by means of demonstration, but as the danger is still there, I urge the party activists to stay stand by to fight back regression as the danger has not been eliminated as yet," he said.

Noting that the Madhesh province played a leading role in the fight against regression, he urged his party activists to lead the socialist revolution.

He argued that the local level election was a different type of battle for the Maoist Center, not only a matter of loss or success.

Senior leader of the CPN (Maoist Center) Narayan Kaji Shrestha exhorted the party cadres to be ready to win the election alone even if there is no coalition among the ruling parties. "We have been stressing the need for coalition even in the election because if there is an alliance of the ruling parties for the election, there will be a good result for all."
