Dhanusha, Jan 30: Minister for Internal Affairs and Communication of the Madhes Province, Bharat Prasad Sah has urged government media including Rastriya Samachar Samiti to disseminate positive news. He responded to the trend of media houses 'focusing on negative news in a bid to attract more subscribers.
He made this statement at an orientation programme for journalists organised in Janakpur, the provincial capital, today by Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), the National News Agency.
Similarly, RSS general manager Siddha Raj Rai has urged RSS journalists to focus on positive news while stressing the need for carrying out reforms in the state-owned news agency.
Others present in the two-day orientation programme are RSS chief executive administrator Uttam Silwal, chief reporter Krishna Adhikari, executive editor Shital Prasad Mahato, chairperson of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Madhes Province, Rajesh Karna and RSS correspondents from eight districts of the province.
