By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb. 16: The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact is not being tabled in the parliament today.

An understanding to this end was made in the meeting between Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and CPN (Maoist Center) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' held at Baluwatar, Prime Minister's official residence.

In the discussion, PM Deuba and Chair Prachanda reached an understanding to take a decision after holding a meeting of the ruling coalition partners on Thursday.

The MCC will not be tabled in the parliament today as an understanding has been made to hold a meeting of the ruling parties on Thursday to discuss the issue, according to Ramesh Malla, Chair Prachanda's personal secretary.

Chair Prachanda rushed to Baluwatar to meet PM Deuba after a meeting of his party's parliamentary party decided to vote against the MCC.
