By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Feb 24: Protest against the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact continued on Thursday as well in the Capital city.
Mass organisations of the CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and other political parties demonstrated against the MCC at the New Baneshwor area where the Federal Parliament building is located.
Protests have been going on for the past few days here particularly since the MCC was tabled in the parliament on February 20.
The MCC was to be discussed in the parliament on Thursday, but the parliament meeting was postponed till 1 pm Friday as the demonstration raged and the Prime Minister urged for to postponing the meeting.
