By Prakash Chandra Bhattarai, Damauli, Mar. 16: A Tree house has been built in the village of the community forest of Myagde Rural Municipality-2, Tanahun with an aim to attract more tourists.

'Tree House' has been constructed in the green belt inside the Jyantang Community Forest.

Manoj Ranabhat, Assistant District Forest Officer at the Division Forest Office, Tanahun, said that the tree house has been constructed for the first time in the district within the community forest to attract tourists.

ADFO Ranabhat added that a green garden along with a tree house has been built within the community forest area for the purpose of making the place a tourist hub, which is 200 meters away from the Prithvi Highway.

He said, “The construction of the tree house is recorded as the first-ever tree house built in the whole district, so it will attract the tourist.”

With the financial and technical support of the Division Forest Office, the construction of the tree house in the green land has kicked off.

The park is being constructed at a total cost of Rs 1.5 million, said Ranabhat. The Division Forest Office has provided financial assistance of Rs. 1.25 million for the construction of the park. The community forest has borne the cost of 20 percent or 250,000 rupees.

Almost 80 percent of the construction of the tree house has been completed so far. Ranabhat said that the house is being built in such a way that it can accommodate five to seven people  and they can see the scenery from there.

Currently, stone pavements are being laid. The plan is to develop the area for the forest picnic. The preparations are underway to open the tree house for tourists within the coming April by completing the construction.
