Laughter Good For Liver

Anna Smirnova

Chinese medicine, in order to maintain the full functioning of the liver, advises resorting to laughter therapy. Laughter, as has long been scientifically proven, is a wonderful "medicine" that has a beneficial effect on the entire body.

However, in Chinese medicine, it is often served as a panacea for diseases, since there laughter is considered a real "antidote" that stops the absorption of toxic substances into the blood. And this happens because of the increased work of the diaphragm. It is she who starts the active work of the respiratory system and the gastrointestinal tract, which becomes a "pump" for the removal of toxins from the body, including from the liver.

As Chinese healers say, even if there are already certain “malfunctions” in this organ, with the help of laughter it can be “repaired”. By the way, according to ancient Chinese medical interpretations, joy just “lives” in the liver.
If she is sick, then this condition will be reflected in the nails: they become soft and brittle. Also, a sharp loss of vision can talk about the problems of this organ, like the yellowing of the whites of the eyes, which has long been known to European medicine.

The fact is that the liver, preserving blood, contributes to the unhindered movement of energy in the body, and also controls emotional activity. In the case of pathology, a violation of the function of hematopoiesis occurs, connective tissues also suffer, and nervous diseases may appear.

Therefore, Chinese doctors suggest that the liver should be especially protected and then the whole body will be in perfect order. The liver, which has problems, should be "massaged", but this should not be done directly, but using certain zones, widely known in Chinese medicine.
The point of impact on the liver is located in the heel area from the side of the fifth finger. In the case of pathology, a violation of the function of hematopoiesis occurs, connective tissues also suffer, and nervous diseases may appear.

Due to rough skin and hard muscles, getting to it is quite problematic, so you should move gradually, softening access with a massage. Chinese medicine offers a kind of instruction on how best to "get close" to the liver through the heel: Bend the leg at the knee and place it as comfortably as possible on the other leg.
With the help of massage movements with the bone of the thumb or the edge of the palm, we work out the entire muscle of the sole. We do it actively. Then we begin to rub the entire heel with the "forceps" of the palm. To do this, we cover it with our hand and sharply squeeze our fingers so that they slip off it.

We complete everything in a circular motion, working all over the ankle from behind, so as to cover it with the palm of your hand or rubbing it with four fingers.
That's it - the heel is fully warmed up and ready to search for pain points that are responsible for the functioning of the liver. They should be kneaded until a pleasant sensation of warmth appears.
