In this globalised world, it is almost impossible for one to live being aloof or isolated as he is automatically connected with the rest in one way or the other. This bond of one with others either by blood or friendship or ideology or geography is called a relationship. Being a social-being, a good relationship is essential, inevitable and inalienable assets in our life. It is that relationship which helps you scale the mountain of success and happiness if it is maintained well. And it is plunges your life towards your destructions if it is mishandled.
If money is lost, nothing is lost, if health is lost something is lost, but if the relationship is lost everything is lost. A true relationship can never be purchased with money neither can it be compared with the other properties that you have possessed in your life. It can simply be shaped up depending on your nature, character and behaviour. Some relationships last long as there is no vested interests involved whereas some relationships are nipped in the bud as the hidden purposes are exposed.
Some bonds are tied up for a particular condition and after achieving of which they are broken up. Sometimes the news about a groom leaving his bride from the stage of wedding ceremony due to unsatisfactory amount of dowry hits the headlines whereas sometimes the relationship between a boyfriend and a girlfriend is so strong that they are ready for sacrificing anything. Lasting of a bond depends on how far the motives are being met in their lives.
Maintaining a true relationship is hard as it is very much sensitive and vulnerable to one’s anger, ego, selfishness, betrayal, doubt, misunderstanding and misbehavioyr. Today, the broken relationship is rightly blamed to increasing cases of violence, murder, depression, suicide and destruction that harm the society. Similarly, it is really heart breaking to learn about a wife killing her husband and vice versa, a business partner playing to end up his partner’s share and a fellow citizen pulling his own neighbour’s legs owing to the broken up or soured relationship.
The main reason of why the relationship of politicians with their people normally becomes cold after the election is that they don’t keep their word but keep distance with the people and misuse their power for retaining their power forever.
Whatever the cause, it is indeed painful when a true relationship becomes cold or breaks up. It also breaks the heart and hits hard deep somewhere in one’s life, creating chronic agony. A good relationship is essential to live a life that creates peace, harmony, satisfaction, pleasure and success in life, but when it is torn and worsened, it becomes a beast of burden that yields only destructive results. So, a relationship has to be nurtured and handled with extra cares.
Good relationship can essentially be maintained and retained by displaying positive attitudes, respecting and appreciating the constructive things done by others, realising your mistakes and forgiving them, and being always true, positive and cooperative and opening up to others. If a good relationship is maintained among the members in a family and the society the entire world would be peaceful and beautiful to live in.
