Hetauda, April 17: The Makawanpur district court has sent two Indian nationals who were arrested with around one million Indian currencies.
The court ordered imprisonment of Bijaya Chaudhary from Bairatpur and Shankar Sarkar from Naheti, India after they failed to deposit bail amount of Rs 1.7 million each.
They were arrested on March 18 while transporting Indian currencies to Birgunj from Hetauda on an Indian number plate Bolero van (W B 23 E 2333) without establishing the income sources, the police said.
The police sent the confiscated Indian currencies to the revenue investigation office, Pathalaiya, said the police.
