Tanahun park to wean children off mobile addiction opens

Tanahun, Apr. 12: Byas Municipality in Tanahun district has brought a children’s park into operation at Khula-chaur in an effort to wean them off addiction of mobile phones.
Prem Kumar Shrestha, chairman of Byas Municipality-3, said that the park was constructed at a cost of Rs. 50,000.

He informed that the concept of children's park had been brought in the belief that it would provide entertainment to the children as well as help in their physical and mental develop-ment.
At the park, infrastructure for sports has been installed. Games, including sliding game, swing, seesaw, jumping and others, are available.

Parbati Tamang of Byas Municipality-3 said that children were happy to play in the park which in turn was helping them to stay away from addictive mobile games like free fire, pubg and others.
She added that it had also proved helpful in physical development of the children.

Bishnumaya Khanal, a resident of Byas Municipality-2, said that her son was so happy to play in the part that he even didn’t want to go home.
Bishal Pariyar, third grader at Madarasa Secondary School, said that he was very happy to play various games with his friends.

Mandavi Poudel, 6, said that she regularly come to play her favorite swing, sliding game and others.
Dilli Ram Sigdel, chief administrative officer of the municipality, said that the ward office invested in the park to wean children from the addiction of mobile phones.
It is a great pleasure to see a crowd of children playing, Sigdel said, adding that it has created an opportunity for reading and sports.
