Hetauda, Dec 8 : Chief Minister of State 3 Dormani Poudel has praised Nepali athletes, who have participated and won medals in the ongoing 13th South Asian Games, for their hard work and performance in the sports event. In a congratulatory message today, Poudel said the Nepali athletes performed well in the mega sports event, beginning with the event on a happy note.    
"Nepali athletes are doing well in the event so far. I want to extend my greetings to those athletes who have won various medals in various streams. I also want to extend congratulations in advance to those Nepali athletes participating in the event for their win."    
In the congratulatory message, he presented a list of various programmes launched by the state government for the development of sports, stating that the government was at work to develop sport sector.    
 "The state government is at work at policy level for the long term development of sports. Construction of an international standard sports training academy in the state, sports grounds at district and local level and at all government schools and covered hall each in all constituencies is underway. We will have required infrastructures for sports in the next two years. Then we will protect professional life of athletes," read the message.
