Kathmandu, Sept 3: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is in Singapore receiving medical treatment, and the members of the Council of Ministers held discussions through the video conferencing (tele-presence technology) for the second time today.
In the process, PM Oli was briefed by Acting Prime Minister Ishwar Pokharel about the work progress of the government in the meantime, in the presence of other ministers and the PM issued necessary instructions, PM's press advisor Dr Kundan Aryal said.
Before this, this type of tele-presence discussion was held on August 26 for the first time. But this is not the formal meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The Government of Nepal had passed the work procedures regarding holding the meeting of the Council of Ministers and discussions even when the PM is in a foreign country or is not present in the country, before this.
The Prime Minister Secretariat has stated that the plasmapheresis treatment of the Prime Minister is near to complete. The PM is undergoing the treatment at the National University Hospital in Singapore. He is returning home on September 6. He had left for Singapore on August 22.
