Parbat landslide: six bodies found, search for missing three continues

Parbat, June 14  : The death toll in a landslide occurred here last night has reached six.    
Nine people went missing in the landslide triggered by a heavy rainfall in Dhakalbari of Durlung-3 of Kusma Municipality. Among the missing, six bodies have been retrieved while a search for the remaining three goes on.    
Nine members of two families were buried as the landslide struck their homes above from the hills.    
The dead have been identified as Tul Bahadur Thapa, 58, his spouse Min Kumari Thapa, grand-daughters Bibisha Thapa and Dipa Thapa and two others Kamala BK and Pramisha BK.    
Police said Samrat Thapa, Bibek Thapa and Jenish BK have been missing since the incident and police continued search for them. District Police Office's police inspector Buddhi Subedi said the Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force are searching for the missing ones with the help of locals.    
Though the security force reached the site for a rescue last night, they had to suspend it for the time being as rainfall did not stop till wee hours. The rescue had resumed in the early morning, said Kushma Municipality-3 ward Chair Tej Prasad Padhya.    
The heavy rainfall since 6:00 pm Saturday continued for around two hours and was followed by the landslide here. Livestock inside the two houses had died in the incident. The landslide fell from 300 meters above from the hills.
