Mijar elected NDJA State 3 president

Kathmandu, Nov 25 : Chitra Mijar has been elected the president of National Dalit Journalists Association (NDJA)'s State-3 Chapter. He is the Sindhupalchok correspondent for Gorakhapatra National Daily.    
The first assembly of the NDJA State-3 held on Sunday constituted a 17-member State Committee under Mijar's chairmanship.    
Likewise, Kamal Bishwakarma from Makawanpur has been elected the vice-president, Basanta Pariyar (Dhading) the secretary, Saroj Uparkoti (Chitwan) as the joint secretary and Sharmila Bishwakarma (Kathmandu) as the treasurer.    


The elected members include Bhoj Raj Bishwakarma, Sitaram Bayalkoti, Biswas Nepali, Ram Chandra Ramtel, Gambhir BK, Sangam Darji, Sushila BK, Ashok Pariyar, Sandip Sundas, Nirmala Nepali and Shyam Rokka.    


Similarly, the assembly elected Sushil Darnal the president of NDJA Kathmandu Valley Committee. Darnal is a reporter with the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), the National News Agency. Ganesh BK has been elected the vice-president, Sandip Bishwakarma the secretary, Niroj Talagangi the joint secretary and Sushuila Bishwakarma the treasurer.  

  
The elected members of the BDJA Kathmandu Valley Committee include Pawan Baraili, Devendra Rasaili, Shova Nepali, Birendra Jairu, Arjun Singh Bhul, Mukesh Rokka and Anil Sunam Pariyar. President of NDJA Nepal, Binod Pahadi said the NDJA was established in 2067 BS for organizing the journalists from the dalit community and protecting their rights.
