Kathmandu, April 18 : A pregnant woman in Mugu was rescued by a helicopter on Friday.
Mamata Lawad of Soru rural municipality-1, Mugu, who was tested positive for the Hepatitis 'B was airlifted to the Surkhet-based Karnali State Hospital after her C-section surgery was not possible in the Mugu District Hospital. She was rescued at the initiation of Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Parbat Gurung, according to Minister's press advisor Santosh Khadka.
Mugu's Chief District Officer Krishna Kumar Niraula made the minister aware about the state of woman. Her delivery date was already exceeded by 14 days and on the top of that she was tested positive for the Hepatitis 'B'. The rescue was carried out under the President Women Upliftment Programme.
