Myagdi, March 22 : The measles-rubella immunization programme is to start from Monday and run until April 11. The event is carried out in two phases targeting children from nine months to five years old.
Altogether 9,352 children in the district are expected to receive the vaccine to be held in all the wards of the district, according to District Health Office Chief Yek Narayan Lamsal. A total of 740 health volunteers are being mobilized for the campaign. The target is to achieve more than 95 per cent success in the programme, information officer at the office Dhruva Giri said.
Meanwhile, the family planning health camp run by the Office has been postponed due to the possible risk of Coronavirus.
