Saptari, April 12 :  The Armed Police Force (APF) has set up additional border out-post (BOP) to bring the border with India to a complete closure for human mobility, in an effort to stem the spread of Corona Virus. The APF units have been established at 55 different locations of the border in Saptari district, the Armed Police Force Nepal No. 6 Battalion has said.
Along with the increased number of BOPs regular patrolling of the border has also been initiated, the Battalion chief SP Uddav Neupane said. The 78-kilometer border with India in the district was earlier manned by only seven BOPs. However, units have now been set up in 55 locations including 16 temporary posts bringing human mobility to a standstill.
The police patrol is aimed at stopping any infiltration from trails used by people to cross the border, other than the transit points. The AFP is also working to spread awareness against the COVID-19 in the bordering villages and communities.
