30.16 per cent capital expenditure spent as of now: FCGO

Kathmandu, June 10 :  The government’s capital expenditure (capex) as of June 9 of the current fiscal year has been recorded at 30.16 per cent, according to the Financial Comptroller General Office (FCGO).    

The government had allocated Rs 4.859 trillion budget for spending on development works for the fiscal year 2019/20 out of which Rs 1.23 trillion has been spent as of now.    

Similarly, under the recurrent expenditure heading, the government has spent 67 per cent of the allocated Rs 957 billion.    

Under the recurrent spending heading, the government has spent which is Rs 642 billion which is 67 per cent of the allocated Rs 957 billion.    

The ongoing fiscal year’s budget amount is Rs 1.532 trillion. The government, rolling recurrent expenditure and financial management into one, recorded a total of 55.44 per cent which is Rs 849 billion.    

Similarly, the government spent 49.96 per cent (Rs 83.8 billion) of the Rs 167 billion allocated for financial management, the budget allocated for capital formation through public corporations.    

Likewise, the government has collected 57.43 per cent of the revenue collection target as of 11 months of the current fiscal year. The government had targeted an annual revenue collection of 1 trillion 112 billion but collected Rs 638.61 billion.
