Kathmandu, March 24 : The 23-day cleanup campaign launched in the Kathmandu Valley on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, 2022 has concluded on Wednesday by tidying up Bhadrakali Temple premises.   

 
During the campaign, 25 heritage sites including Durbar Squares of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur and Madyapurthimi Municipality were cleaned up, said campaigner Kamal Bahadur Rajalawat.    
The campaign was joined by local people, cleaners employed by Bagmati and Kathmandu Valley, civil servants, Nepal Police, Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and social workers.

During the cleanup drive, the participants and local people were offered tea made from gurjo (Tinospora cordifolia) in a bid to shed light on the importance of this medicinal herb.    
Similarly, tea and powder of various 60 medicinal herbs was also offered for free to the participants.
