Kathmandu, Mar. 31: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, has expressed his hope that the nation would find a path to prosperity and stability after the three-tier election.

In his address to a function organized to mark the 24th anniversary of the Reporters’ Club Nepal here today, he said people would have their enthusiastic participation in the three-level election and observe it at a mega festival. “We will conclude the elections as the mega festival,” the government spokesperson said, adding that the government was serious about the election's credibility and holding it freely and without any fear.

As he said, all political parties should have a common resolution and concerted efforts to realise people’s aspirations for a prosperous Nepal.

“We have guaranteed freedom of the Press in the Constitution,” he said, adding the incumbent government was always conscious of its protection of it.

He hoped that the Club would play a role in further enhancement of the free press and the freedom of expression as well as civic supremacy.
