By Our Correspondent, Jumla, Dec. 6: After much debate and discussion around the topic, the Karnali Academy of Health Sciences (KAHS) is all set to begin teaching the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course.
Registrar Nripendra Mahat informed that the course would be formally launched by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on December 12 in the presence of Minister for Health and Population Birodh Khatiwada, Minister for Education, Science and Technology Devendra Paudel, and other government officials.
“The President will inaugurate the programme amidst a grand ceremony. So, we are making preparations accordingly,” informed Dr. Mangal Rawal, Vice Chancellor of the Academy.
The government has allocated 20 seats for MBBS at KAHS.
The Academy was established in 2011.
