Prime Minister Deuba Urges for investment

April 3: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged to Indian investors for the investment in Nepal.

He has urged the investors in a program organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) during the PM's three-day visit to India.

He promised to create investment environment as cooperation between the government and private sector.

He has promised needed favourable policy from the side of the government.

He said that agreement with Prime Minister Narendra Modi will help enhance exchange of electricity and railway service.

Speaking on the program, President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Shekhar Golchha said that there are huge potential to investment in hydroelectricity, tourism, production sector, and service sector including information and communication technology (ICT) Golchha promised the support of private sector for investment from India.

He said that Nepal seeks to increase export to India. President of CII, T V Narendran said that Nepal is attractive destination for investment.

He said that energy department of CII will cooperate with Nepal to enhance investment. He also said that India can support maintaining the quality of agriculture exports.
