Inaruwa, Sept 1: A man was killed when an elephant straying from the Koshitappu Wildlife Reserve attacked him at Koshi rural municipality-3 in Sunsari district on Sunday.
The deceased identified as local resident Anamol Mukhiya, 32, was fishing in a local river alongside his two other brothers when the attack took place, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Sharma, adding that his two brothers survived the attack by fleeing. The body of Mukhiya was sent to the district hospital for a postmortem.
