Doti, Sept 4 : A weeklong campaign against human trafficking kicked off in the district this morning. Chief District Officer Tek Narayan Poudel informed that the campaign was launched with the participation of local people and stakeholders.
The campaign was focused especially against the trafficking of women and children, CDO Poudel said, adding, "The campaign has aimed at reducing the children and women trafficking."
Chief of District Police Office, Bidyanand Majhi, said the campaign would create public awareness against children and women trafficking. The trafficking of women and children was for sexual exploitation, labour and organs trade. Such evil acts must be ended, he underscored.
The people would be informed against this evil business with message-laden publicity. Discussion with students, distribution of placards and rallying are also incorporated in the campaign. (RSS)
