Kathmandu, Feb 23: Non-resident trade representative of Russia Alexander Rybas paid a courtesy call on Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Prem Bahadur Ale. During the meeting held at the Ministry on Wednesday, Rybas urged Minister Ale to take initiative for conducting direct flight between Kathmandu and Moscow.

On the occasion, he requested the Minister to forward the activities collaborating between the two countries in the sector of Nepal-Russia business, trade and tourism promotion. The Russian representative also inquired about the number of Russian aircrafts and helicopters that Nepal needed.

There had been direct flights between Kathmandu and Moscow in the past but it became inoperative due to various reasons.
