Kathmandu, Mar. 3: Minister for Foreign Affairs Narayan Khadka will fly to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, leading a delegation to take part in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum (ADF), to be held in Antalya, Turkey, from March 11-13.

Spokesperson for government and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gyanendra Bahadur Karki said a meeting of the Council of Ministers held on February 27 decided to form a delegation led by the Foreign Minister to participate in the ADF.

According to him, a team led by Minister Khadka will participate in the second 'Antalya Diplomacy Forum' and bilateral talks in Ankara where heads of state and governments, ministers, policy makers, diplomats, business leaders, academicians and think-tankers will gather, Minister Karki said.

The Forum will be inaugurated by Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of the Republic of Turkey. The participants will address a wide range of topics in international relations under the overarching theme of 'Recoding Diplomacy.'
Similarly, the Cabinet has decided to appoint Shrikant Poudel as the chairman of the Special Court. Poudel is currently serving as a judge at the Patan High Court, Lalitpur. Members of the Special Court include Judges Ramesh Kumar Pokhrel, Yamuna Bhattarai, Shalikram Koirala, Bal Bhadra Banstola and Khusi Prasad Tharu, Likewise, Judge Tek Prasad Dhungana of Patan High Court is named as chairman of Revenue Tribunal Office, Kathmandu.

The Cabinet meeting has decided to form a dialogue team led by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies to attend the 3rd Joint Working Group meeting between Nepal and India on petroleum products and LPG issues. A meeting of both the countries will decide the date and venue of the meeting.
Likewise, the government has given authority to concerned authorities to acquire land for various transmission line projects.

Also, the government has appointed Bhupendra Prasad Aryal of Kapilvastu as the chairman of the Drinking Water Tariff Fixation Commission.
The government has formed a Nepali dialogue committee on behalf of Nepali Ambassador to the United Kingdom to hold talks with the government of the United Kingdom regarding demands of the ex-British Gurkha soldiers.

The government has authorised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to sign an agreement between the government of Nepal and the government of Israel on cooperation in the field of cultural education, science and sports.

The government has appointed Durga Prasad Bhattarai, Prof. Dr. Kusum Shakya, Pragya Ghimire, Balananda Sharma, Shekhar Golchha and Prem Prasad Limbu as members of Institute of Foreign Affairs (IFA) Development Committee.

The Cabinet meeting has formed a delegation led by the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to attend the first meeting of the Bilateral Consultation Mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and South Africa on March 10 and 11, and the first meeting of the Bilateral Foreign Mechanism between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and Oman. The government has also given permission to Bhumikasthan Municipality of Arghakhanchi to use nine ropanis of land for the construction of a 15-bed basic hospital.

The Cabinet meeting has given authority to the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology to implement the findings and recommendations of the committee formed to investigate into the teachers and staffs who were removed from their jobs for political reasons.

Further, the Cabinet has approved the Radioactive Use and Regulation 2078 as well as the norms prepared on bridge construction design and construction agreement rate analysis.
The government has ordered the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport to issue criteria for safe filling of petrol, diesel and LP gas stations along the national highways.
