Kathmandu, Feb 26:  Inspector General of Police, Thakur Prasad Gyawali, has instructed health workers at the Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj to ensure prompt and swift service for the needy, and demonstrate professional discipline, duties and responsibilities.    

He today visited the dental, orthopedic, surgical, gynecology and maternity wards, OPD, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and radio diagnosis units today and directed medical professional to prove themselves as civilised workforce.    

In his address to a programme organised after the inspection, IGP Gyawali stressed that the hospital workforce should focus on delivering standard humanitarian services meeting the expectations of service seekers.    

Terming the role of seniors in taking the hospital to its present status commendable, the Nepal Police chief urged the staff to perform with full dedication to further advance hospital and render quality service to the needy. He stressed the need for giving attention to the hospital's cleanliness and sanitation while trying to give their best at work.    

On the occasion, hospital's medical director Additional Inspector General of Police Dr Asha Singh gave presentation about hospital's activities, available services, challenges, future plans and the status of physical infrastructure development.
