Surkhet, Sept 20: Chief Minister of Karnali State Mahendra Bahadur Shahi said on Friday that the constitution of Nepal was linked to all Nepalis' fortune.
At a fourth Constitution Day celebration organized at Birendranagar, the State capital on Friday, CM Shahi argued that the fate of the public would be guaranteed through the implementation of the new national charter.
Stating that the State government was committed to the development of the State as per the aspiration of the public, Shahi argued that prosperity and development would be ensured in the State on the basis of the rights enshrined by the constitution.
"Since the formation of the incumbent government one and half year ago, we formulated related news, set up the offices, framed the structure of the assembly, and established Policy and Planning Commission," he reminded.
The Chief Minister further viewed that Karnali State was successful in laying foundation for the development and prosperity despite the human resources crunch and lack of experience. According to him, the true essence of the celebration of the Constitution Day was in implementation of the fundamental rights.
He noted that some regressive forces were trying to create hurdles when it came to enforcing the constitution, but wave of changes could not be stopped by anything.
On the occasion, he wished the Constitution Day motivated all the citizens for creating a prosperous State with social justice.
A morning rally was organized at Mangalgadhi Chowk in Surkhet to mark the Day where State ministers, leaders from various political parties, including Nepali Congress, officials of government agencies and public had participated. A cultural show was also organized on the occasion.
