Humla begins third vaccine campaign against COVID-19

Simkot, Jan 30: Health workers in the Humla district have been mobilised from January 28 to begin the third shot of vaccine against COVID-19.

Similarly, the District Health Office, Dolpa has mobilised health workers in all the seven local levels amid snowfall to vaccinate the people who already received the second dose of vaccine.

Acting Chief of Health Office Prem Bahadur Singh said 14,402 doses of Covishield, 20,800 doses of Vero Cell, 1,100 doses of Janssen and Janssen, 3,890 doses of Astrazeneca, and 370 doses of Moderna vaccines have been received.

So far, the third shot of vaccine has been given to 300 people in the district, including the security personnel of Nepal Army, Armed Police Force and Nepal Police, civil servants, health workers, and the media persons.

It is said everyone receiving the second dose of vaccine is allowed to receive the third shot of the anti-COVID vaccine.

Meanwhile, the health workers are struggling to reach wards no. 5 and 6 of Namkha Rural Municipality due to a heavy snowfall taking place there.
