COVID-19 cases decline in Banke, hospitalizations fall

By Siraj Khan, Nepalgunj, Jan 30: The number of Coronavirus infected people in Banke, which has been increasing daily for some time now, has come down on Sunday.

The number of infected people has also decreased on Sunday. According to the District Covid Management Committee, Banke, the number of infected people has decreased after testing at both Bheri Hospital and Jamunaha checkpoint.

According to Tej Oli, Corona Focal Person of District Covid Management Committee, Banke, about 125 people are being infected daily at Bheri Hospital, Medical College and Private Lab till Saturday. About 40 people were found infected at the Jamunaha checkpoint.

However, tests conducted at various laboratories on Sunday found that only 36 people were infected and only 19 people were found infected at Jamunaha checkpoint, said focal person Oli.

Stating that the rate of hospital admissions is very low, Corona Focal Person Oli said that there are more admissions of non-vaccinated patients. "At present, only 36 people have been admitted to Bheri Hospital," Oli said, adding that only two of them are in critical condition. "Everyone else's condition is normal," he said.
