State-5 Chief, Chief Minister greet Muslims on Eid al-Fitr

Butwal, May 25 : The Chief of State-5 Dharmanath Yadav and Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel have extended hearty best wishes to the entire Nepali Muslim community on the occasion of the Eid-al-Fitr festival.    
In separate message of best wishes on the occasion today, they have said preservation of the cultural heritages alone would help foster mutual goodwill, brotherhood and unity in the community, society and the nation.    
Chief of State-5 Yadav said the cultural festivals were the unique identity of every community and the nation's invaluable wealth. He has wished that may this Eid festival give inspiration to all the Muslim brothers and sisters to become united in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.    
Similarly, Chief Minister Pokhrel stated in his message on the occasion that the constitution of the democratic republic Nepal has paved the way for the uplift and development of the minority Muslim community and every community, class and caste would be able to exercise their rights bestowed by the constitution in practical terms with its implementation.    
He also said that all the three tiers of government have moved ahead with clear action plan and have established coordination and collaboration for saving lives from coronavirus pandemic. The Chief Minister stressed on the cooperation of all citizens in these efforts made at minimising the risk. In this context, he urged the Muslim community to observe the Eid al-Fitr by maintaining social distancing and safety protocols.    
State-5 government minister for social development Sudarshan Baral also greeted the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, stressing the need to fight COVID-19 together.
