Kathmandu, Apr. 12: Chha Maya Chhapakkai dominated the 12th D Cine Awards held in Dhulikhel recently by bagging eight awards in total.
Maruni and Sanglo won six awards each.
Senior actress Bhuwan Chanda was awarded the Lifetime Legendary Award. She received Rs. 25,000 in cash, a letter of appreciation.
In the event hosted by Chhayachhabi Creations, Keki Adhikari won the award for the best actress for Chha Maya Chhapakkai while actor Pushpa Khadka received the best actor award for Maruni.
Director Nawal Nepal, cinematographer Sanjay Lama, singer Krishna Kafle and story writer Gobinda Phuyal also received awards from the film Maruni produced under the banner of Poonam Entertainment.
Director Dipendra Lama won the jury award for the film Chha Maya Chhapakkai and the award for the popular film also went to the same film.
Actors Vijay Lama and Jharna Thapa were awarded the Rajat Award while Film Journalism Award was given to Bishnu Subedi, The award carries a purse of Rs. 12,222. The awards were presented in 27 different categories.
