Surkhet, April 13 : Chief Minister of Karnali State Mahendra Bahadur Shahi has expressed the hope of defeating COVID-19.
The virus infection that broke out while the country was pursuing development and prosperity would be meticulously dealt with and defeated at any cost, he said in a message of greetings on the occasion of Nepali New Year, 2077.
"We will not be deviated from our goal of development and prosperity by the infection. Rather we should garner collective strengths to overcome the contagion". He urged all Nepali citizens not to get panicked of the infection as the state government has mobilised all resources and mechanisms it can do to fight against the pandemic.
He also urged all to contribute on their part to help the Government of Nepal, the state government and local levels to suppress the virus. "I wish peace, happiness, good health and prosperity to all Nepalis at home and abroad on this occasion. I have also the hope that we will be able to build equitable, prosperous and socialism-oriented country by removing hurdles and challenges posed by the virus."
