Mahottari, May 28 : Seventy-six new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in State-2 this morning. With this, number of coronavirus infected people has reached 400 in the State.
The new coronavrus infected people are—29 from Dhanusha, 17 from Mahottari, 14 from Saptari, seven from sarlahi, six from Siraha and three from Rautahat, according to Senior Health Administrator at the State-2 Health Directorate, Bijay Kumar Jha.
The highest number of COVID-19 infected people in the State-2 is in Rautahat, which stands at 112.
There is a long queue of people at southern border of the State willing to return home. Most of the coronavirus infected people in the State are found returned from India, added Jha. Preparation to collect swab has been intensified for PCR test.
Swab of 743 people was collected in State 2 on Wednesday alone and swab of 10,589 has been collected in the State so far, according to the Directorate. Report of 2,274 people will be received by this evening.
There are now 301 quarantines in the eight districts across the State. A total of 13,402 people are in quarantines and 4,903 in home quarantine under observation of health workers. Similarly, 189 people are in isolation in State-2.
