Two electric vehicles handed over to Pashupati Development Trust

Kathmandu, Nov 27: Indian Women’s Association (IWA) Wednesday handed over two electric eight-seater vehicles to Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) amidst a function.
Namrita Puri, president of IWA handed over the eco-friendly vehicles to Dr. Pradeep Dhakal, member-secretary of PADT.
The vehicle is with high end lithium ion batteries and is manufactured by an Indian company.
Puri said that the eco-friendly vehicles would be helpful especially for elderly and differently able people to visit the Pashupati Temple.
It created employment opportunity for two women.
Handing over of the vehicles is another milestone in strengthening cultural and religious ties between India and Nepal, Puri said.
The vehicles have started providing service to elder and differently able people from today. Two vehicles have already been providing service on the premises of Pashupati.
“Now we will have four vehicles to provide service,” said Dhakal, member-secretary of PADT.
