Kathmandu, Feb. 25: Singer Samikshya Adhikari filed a rape case against actor Paul Shah (Purna Bikram Shah) at the District Police Office, Tanahun on Wednesday.
According to Yubraj Khadka, Deputy Superintendent of Police of the District Police Office, Tanahun, a complaint has been lodged against Paul Shah, (Purna Bikram Shah) 32, who hails from Ghorahi Sub-Metropolitan Ward -2, Rampur in Dang District and is currently living at Om Shanti Chowk, Kharibot, New Baneshwor.

The victim’s side has demanded a physical examination of the victim and a public inquiry into the incident.
The victim’s father lodged the complaint with the police. The father of the actress Adhikari has demanded legal action against Shah for raping his minor daughter.

In the complaint, it is mentioned that his daughter was raped while she was staying at the house of Pradip Thapa in Tanahun Shuklagandaki Municipality-2 on April 27, last year.
SP Khadka said that they started an investigation into the case after the victim filed a complaint against Shah Wednesday afternoon.

It is mentioned in the complaint that they were staying in the hotel in the night after shooting a film in Pokhara, Chitwan and Baglung, and actor Shah raped her many times.
Shah, who falsely pretended to be in love under the pretext of taking care of his daughter, should be punished for violating Article 211 (1) of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS, read the complaint.
Under the Article 228 of the Code, the victim has also sought compensation from Shah.

At the meantime, actor Shah on Thursday accused Durgesh Thapa, Saroj Oli, Krishna Joshi and Samrat Chaulagain of conspiring against him and inciting the singer to speak against him.
Actor Shah has even made public an audio from Facebook saying that four people are trying to conspire against him.

“I have been attacked in a deliberate and conspiratorial manner, Shah wrote on his Facebook on Thursday.
He further wrote, “If I am found guilty, I am ready to be punished according to the law of Nepal.”
