This week was about Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2020) in the tech industry. Since it’s one of the biggest tech events, all the technology enthusiasts had keen and wandering eyes at the event. And well, the CES 2020 didn’t disappoint. Many tech companies showcased their best and innovative products in the tech show. Not every product at the event brought a brand new tech to the table. But there were some companies, who truly blew us away with their noteworthy and innovative products. Here, we will be discussing some of those products, which left the tech industry completely awe-inspired.

OnePlus Concept One
OnePlus is truly nailing the budget flagship segment. Providing the flagship specs at around a mid-range price has always been the signature move of OnePlus. Although OnePlus devices carry noteworthy hardware, they haven’t contributed much to the tech industry with new or innovative hardware. And OnePlus was often criticized for it as well. But this time, OnePlus completely shut the critics up.
At CES 2020, OnePlus displayed its OnePlus Concept One smartphone, which comes with disappearing and reappearing cameras. The internal hardware on the device resembles with OnePlus 7T Pro. But where it truly differentiates itself from the 7T Pro is on the design front. The Concept One is wrapped with McLaren’s signature Orange Color leather.
But that’s not the major highlight on the device. It’s the rear cameras. The rear cameras can hide and can show themselves up according to your requirements. Unlike all the smartphone cameras out there, the Concept One has used electrochromic glass to cover up the cameras. The electrochromic glass can turn transparent or opaque based on the amount of current applied. This kind of glass was used on McLaren’s sports car to turn the sunroof opaque to block out the sun.
The cameras remain hidden if you are not using the cameras. But if you activate the cameras, the rear panel goes from opaque to transparent just in 0.7 seconds. Apart from being a fancy veil to the cameras, the electrochromic glass also doubles as an ND filter for the cameras. With this feature, you can limit the light that would rich the sensor while capturing a bright subject or while capturing long exposure shots. In those scenarios, this feature prevents your images from being overexposed.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold
At a time, when the practicality of foldable displays was creating an argument in the tech industry, a couple of smartphones with foldable displays launched back in 2019. Because of the fragility, such devices were not all appreciated. Nonetheless, Lenovo stepped up and brought a device in favor of foldable tech. But unlike Royole, Samsung, Motorola or Huawei, Lenovo brought a laptop with a foldable screen.
The laptop presents itself as a portable display or giant tablet with 13.3-inch when unfolded. When half folded, you can use it as a mini laptop with the top portion as a display and the lower portion with a touch keyboard and a trackpad. But that’s not mandatory. Lenovo is not letting the users miss out on using its full screen for the sake of the keyboard. So they have bundled a Bluetooth keyboard with an embedded trackpad. You also get a pullout stand at the back of the screen. So with the stand and the Bluetooth keyboard, you can easily use like a traditional laptop.

Samsung Sero TV
Smartphone users are quite on the rise. And as smartphone is growing to be the whole-rounded multipurpose multimedia device, it’s being used quite extensively.
With the growing use of smartphones, consuming and creating multimedia content via smartphone is also seeing a steep growth. But such use has also given rise to the vertical (portrait) contents. Although such contents may suit the mobile users, you will notice black bars while viewing them on landscape (horizontal) screen. And it doesn’t quite aid for an immersive viewing experience. So to alleviate that problem, Samsung announced 43-inch Sero TV at CES 2020. The TV is designed to switch from horizontal to vertical mode. And that switch in orientation can be made with a Samsung Galaxy device synced with the TV.
The TV made its debut in Korea and is said to go global later this year. And Samsung believes that this TV can be handy if you are into Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat into big screens. In addition to eluding heinous pillarboxing black bars on the left and right sides, you will also experience a great multimedia experience from this device.
The TV packs a 4.1 channel, 60-watt speaker system on the inside, which projects boisterous audio.
Acer Concept D7 Ezel and Ezel Pro
Acer also had some fancy products to showcase at the event. And they started in a noteworthy manner highlighting some amazing laptops. In that context, the Concept D7 Ezel and Ezel Pro laptops truly got everyone awe-inspired.
The Concept D7 Ezel and Ezel Pro are actually the convertible notebooks with a screen that can swivel around. With this feature, the users can make use of the laptop in different viewing configurations – tablet mode, tent mode, and laptop mode to name a few. You can also align the screen exactly parallel to the keyboard if working in that manner suits your work.
Acer has also included a Wacom EMR digital pen so that the designers could make use of its 15.6-inch 4K touchscreen display to work on their designs conveniently. The device is designed with power and productivity in mind. As the swivel mechanism and Wacom Stylus was provided as a fancy touch to incorporate the productivity stuff, all the other internal hardware scream power.
The D7 Ezel is equipped with 10th-gen Intel Core H-series processor, NVIDIA RTX 2070 or 2080 graphics card, up to 32GB RAM, and up to 2TB of NVMe PCIe SSD. The D7 Ezel Pro being the better of the two features even more powerful Intel Xe processor, NVIDIA Quadro RTX graphics, ECC memory support, and includes Windows 10 Pro.

Alienware Concept UFO game console
Alienware is quite renowned for its powerful gaming laptops and pre-configured gaming rigs. But at CES 2020, Alienware made a slight switch from its usual tracks. Sidelining the gaming laptops and PCs, the company primarily focused on gaming console this time around. Dubbed as Alienware Concept UFO, the console looks like a Nintendo Switch knock-off. The console also features detachable controllers and a dock to connect it to a large screen TV or a monitor.
The console consists of four pieces. The main part (the head unit) is the one with an 8-inch 1200p display. It handles all the processing and GPU-related tasks. There are two controllers (controller unit), which can be attached to the sides of the head unit while playing games. You also get a hub unit, which is similar to the Joy-Con controller grip.
While combining the controllers to the hub unit, you can use it as a single controller.
The head unit also comes with a built-in kickstand. So you don’t always have to play games by holding the head unit to your hands. And you may not always like to play on the hands as well since the device weighs 900 grams and may cause discomfort after prolonged gaming sessions.
Concept UFO game console runs on Windows 10. So if you have pre-bought PC games, you can play on it without a hassle. The laptop also comes with USB-C ports for better interfacing. You can use these ports to connect your keyboard and mouse and use it as a regular PC.
