Dr. DR Upadhyay sets 108 world records in four years

Kathmandu, Apr. 3: Lyricist Dr. DR Upadhyay has set 108 world records in the field of music and literature in a span of four years.
During a ceremony held in the capital on Friday, he achieved 28 world record certificates. Earlier he had set 80 world records.
Upadhyay has been provided world record certificates from Everest World Records, European Record Books, American Book of Records, Champion Book of World Records, Supreme World Record, The British World Record, Universal Record Forum and Asian World Record.

Former Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal presented him with 28 world record certificates on Friday.
Speaking at the programme, Khanal said that Dr. Upadhyay has succeeded in introducing Nepal to the international community through his creation.

Dr. Upadhyay is working to elevate the country’s image through his creations, Khanal said. “Setting 108 world records is not an easy job and I would like to congratulate him for his achievements and wish he would engage in similar creative activities in the days to come.”
Upadhyay’s eight albums were also released at the event.

Before this, his 25 song albums had been released.
At the event, journalists Naresh Bhattarai, Kuber Raj Giri, Krishna Bhusal, Geeta Adhikari, Santosh Shrestha, music video director Michael Chand, video editor Silan Lamsal, cinematographer Utsav Dahal were also awarded with the Honour Certificate of European Record Book.

Besides 108 world records, including the Guinness Book of World Records, Upadhyay has already published 12 novels.
