Tanahu, March 22: The Public Prosecutor's Office has registered a case against Actor Pal Shah on the charge of raping a minor.
The District Police Office, Tanahu completed the investigation and submitted its report along with opinion to the Public Prosecutor's Office on Monday. District Attorney Ram Chandra Sharma shared that a case has been registered against Shah demanding imprisonment up to 12 years, along with reasonable compensation to the survivor.
He also said that half of the sentence was demanded against Krishna Joshi, who is reported to be Shah's manager, as an accomplice in the offence. Shah had surrendered to the police on February 27 after a minor lodged a complaint of rape against him.
A similar case has been registered against Shah in Nawalpur District Court as well. A case was filed against Shah in Nawalpur, claiming that he had committed an offence under sections 219 (1) and (2) of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS.
The minor girl had lodged a complaint claiming that she was raped at a resort in Nawalparasi East in March 2020. Shah was taken to Nawalparasi East where he has recorded his statement before the police.
