Myagdi, Feb. 25: The number of patients coming to Tatopani Kunda (hot water spring) in Myagdi has been increasing after the recent fall in the risk of COVID-19 infection.
The number of patients coming to Kunda, in Ward No. 4 in Beni Municipality, considered a natural treatment, has increased. It was reopened to the public on February 13 as the number of infections has been in decline across the country.

Currently, 200 women and 100 men bathe in Tatopani Kunda daily, said Birendra Man Shakya, chairman of the Tatopani Kunda Management Committee.
According to Shakya, bathing in the pool was allowed in strict compliance with the health safety standards.

People from Myagdi, Baglung, Parbat, Kaski and Gulmi districts including two foreign nationals, have visited the Kunda to take a hot-water bath, Shakya said.
Achhem Gurung of Lamachaur, Pokhara said that he was relieved from leg pain after taking a hot-water dip in the Kunda.

Maina Subedi of Habeli Marg, Pokhara Metropolitan City, was also a regular visitor to Kunda as her back and leg pain was relieved after taking bath at the Kunda.
The Kunda has two ponds including the main one, three bathtubs and showers. The water remains at 48 degrees centigrade and tastes like Himalayan salt. It is believed that diseases like gastric, heart disease, uric acid, joint pain, bone pain and other types of colds can be treated after having a bath at the Kunda.
