Baglung, April 22 : Lightning has claimed the life of a woman at Todke, Dudhilabhati of Galkot municipality-1 in Baglung district. The deceased is 60-year-old Bijuli Khatree.
Khatree died on the spot while her husband, Som Bahadur Khatree, fell unconscious after lightning struck them at their house on Tuesday afternoon, Galkot municipality Ward No. 1 Chair, Netra Bahadur Budhathoki, said. Som Bahadur's has regained consciousness and is now in normal condition.
The lightning, however, did not result in any physical loss. Lightning is frequently taking place in the district over the last few days. A youth was killed by lightning last week at Baglung municipality-14.
