People's representatives at local level must resign before filing their nomination in polls: EC

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar. 17: The election commission has made a code of conduct that the people's representatives at the local level should resign from their post before filing their nomination for contesting in the election.

Provision of resignation from the post before filing nomination has been mentioned in section 36 of the code of conduct.
