‘Phul Butte Sari’ reminds Madan Krishna of his wife

Kathmandu, Feb. 27: Veteran comedian and actor Madan Krishna Shrestha has lent his voice to the legendary version of the popular song "Phul Butte Sari".
Rajan Raj Siwakoti's popular song 'Phul Butte Sari' has already been released in different versions.
The song has already been sung by Marmik Lama, Milan Newar, Arishma Siwakoti. The song, which has been released in male, female and child versions earlier, is beautifully sung by Madan Krishna Shrestha in the legendry version.
The video of the song also features Madan Krishna's voice and acting.
In the video, actress Mithila Sharma and Madan Krishna are paired and their romance looks immaculately beautiful.
When asked how he got the chance to sing this popular song, Shrestha said that he had sung a few pieces of this song at an event held to honour other singers and performers of this song.
After listening to the song by Madan Krishna, lyricist Rajan announced a legendary version of the song.
At the event, after the announcement of Rajan, everyone applauded and whistled that Madan Krishna would sing the song in the legendary version. And the next day, Rajan called him and asked to sing the song in its legendary version, he added.
Sharing his experience, he said, “At first, I thought I couldn't sing it, but I tried and this song has become immensely hit. This song has given me energy and courage that I can sing other songs as well.”
The music video shows the love sequence of an elderly couple and the story of this music video is love and harmony between the elderly couple.
Asked how he found the music video, he said, “The concept of the song is beautiful and it expresses love and romance between the senior couple and accordingly it has been presented.”
By praising the role of Mithila Sharma in the video, he said Mithila is a great dancer and actor. Her extraordinary expression and acting skills have added extra art and beauty to this music video, said Madan Krishna.
“This song reminded me of my late wife Yashoda Shrestha. When Mithila was on the balcony during the shoot, I thought my wife was sitting in Mithila's place.”
Not everyone's life is same, some are divorced and others are forced to live a single life due to the death of their wife or husband, like me. But even in the old age, when a husband and wife are together, they love each other and take care of each other, which look great, he added.
The song, composed 12 years ago, is now at the peak of its success. The legendary version of this song sung by Madan Krishna has already been watched by over 2.5 million times in a week.
