Rhino, tiger found dead in Chitwan National Park area

An adult male rhino and a tiger have been found dead in the Chitwan National Park area recently. According to the Park's information Officer, Lokendra Adhikari, the rhino assume to be aged around 30 years was found dead at Kalkata Tappu nearby the bank of Narayan River.

NC President Deuba condoles demise of Dr Khadka

Rhino census scheduled from March 22

The rhino census which was suspended due to the coronavirus crisis last year will be taking place from March 22 this year.  Four parks in the country have the presence of rhinos. The census is taking place simultaneously in Chitwan and Parsa while it will be conducted at different times in Bardiya and Shuklaphanta national parks.

Fire destroys properties worth over Rs 10 million in Kailali

Properties worth over Rs 10 million have been gutted by fire in the KS Construction at Geta Gaun of Godawari Rural Municipality-5 in Kailali district today morning.  According to the District Police Office Spokesperson Prateek Bista, the fire that is suspected to have broken out due to electricity leakages in the KS Construction burned down all tyre, tubes and mobile among others materials used in vehicles incurring the loss of that amount.
