NA Chairman stresses meeting vaccination deadline early

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has said that all the citizens should be vaccinated against COVID-19 before the upcoming election. Addressing an interaction programme on 'COVID-19 vaccination, risk communication and community engagement’, organised jointly by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) and the World Health Organiaation (WHO), Timilsina asked political leaders to make the public aware about importance of vaccines while engaging with their constituents.

Red panda, Yalambar statues built to attract tourists

The statues of the world's rare red panda and the first king of the Kirants, Yalambar, have been erected in Nayabazar, the centre of Maijogmai Rural Municipality in Ilam, to attract tourists. A statue of the red panda, the symbol of Maijogmai, has been erected at Nayabazar Chowk, the centre of the Rural Municipality. Similarly, a statue of King Yalambar on horseback has been erected at Shakela Than of Kirants in Nayabazar in memory of the first Kiranti king.

Dhangadhi-Pokhara direct flights begin

Pokhara, the main tourist destination of Gandaki, has now been connected with Dhangadhi, the temporary capital of Sudurpashchim Province. Direct flights between the two cities started on Wednesday.
