Bhairahawa-based Juvenile Correction Home overwhelmed

A total of 73 children are now in Juvenile Correction Home in Bhairahawa, which has the capacity to accommodate only 60 children at a time. The correction home currently has been accommodating children from 18 districts from Jhapa to Rolpa.

Makar fair begins in Dhanushadham

A month-long Makar fair has begun at the famous religious site of Dhanusadham in Dhanushadham Municipality of Dhanusha district. The fair that began on Sunday will continue for a month. The Makar fair is organised here every Sunday throughout the month of Magh (January 15 to February 12). Vaccination against PPR in Bagmati from Feb. 8

A vaccination drive against PPR in sheep and goats is going to be launched in all districts of Bagmati Province. After a large number of sheep and goats started dying every year due to PPR disease, the Bagmati Province government has started preparations to vaccinate the animals against PPR disease in 13 districts of the province from the second week of February.

Aviation museum comes into operation in Nepalgunj

An aviation museum set up in Belaspur in Nepalgunj targeting tourists from western Nepal and India has been brought into operation on the occasion of Maghi (Makar Sakranti). The museum, located in Dhangadhi, was shifted to Nepalgunj and brought into operation. Captain Bed Upreti, director of the museum, said that a large number of tourists from all over western Nepal and India would visit the museum, which was established with an investment of Rs. 18 million.
