Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Maha Prasad Adhikari has said that all stakeholders are needed to put collective efforts to achieve an inclusive and sustainable economic recovery in the face of COVID-19.

Price rise pleases Sarlahi tomato farmers

Farmers of Sarlahi have felt a sigh of relief after the price of tomatoes increased in the local market. Farmers have said that the price of tomatoes has increased to Rs. 18 per kg for the past three days, and they are encouraged to bring the ripe tomatoes to the market and sell them. Earlier, they were selling the tomatoes at Rs. 10 to Rs. 12 per kg in the wholesale market.

A model road of international standard to be constructed in Pokhara

Pokhara Metropolitan City is going to construct the model road with the assistance of the World Bank. The member of City Planning Commission Pokhara, Baburam Bhandari informed that 3.28 KM road stretch from Tal Chowk of Pokhara Metropolitan City -27 to the origin of Khudi River will be upgraded as per the World Bank guidelines at a cost of 1.6 billion rupees.

COVID-19 update: 105 new cases, 272 recovered

Of the 105 new cases, 58 were reported in the Kathmandu Valley. Meanwhile, 272 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 267,564 cases of recovery.
