80 pc work on Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Project completed

The 85 percent of the work is completion on the project which is being constructed at a cost of Rs. 13.65 billion excluding interest under the loan assistance of the Employees Provident Fund. The work of connecting the equipment on the under construction 111 megawatt capacity Rasuwagadhi Hydroelectric Project located at Timure, Gosaikunda Rural Municipality, has come on standstill because of lack of manpower.

Mahalaxmi Sugar Mill closes without paying farmers

The Mahalakshmi Sugar Mill located in Godaita Municipality in the southern part of Sarlahi has closed down for the year without paying its farmers. Administrative Manager Birendra Kumar Shrivastav informed that the mill, which started processing sugarcane from December 20, shut down for the rest of this Nepali year after processing 890,000 quintals of sugarcane.
