Landslides block three major roads of Tanahun

Similarly, landslides have blocked the Sringapath Road in more than a dozen places. According to Rajendra Krishna Shrestha, chairman of Rishing Rural Municipality, the landslide near the Ajambari shrine was very large so, there is no chance of the road opening immediately.  Shrestha informed that the landslide occurred on Sunday.

Rockets fired at Kabul airport

Rockets have been fired towards Kabul international airport, and have reportedly been intercepted by a US missile defence system. The White House confirmed the attack, but said that its ongoing evacuations would "continue uninterrupted". The incident comes a day after a US drone strike thwarted what officials said was another attack on the airport.

Three foreign nationals held with 2.966 kg cocaine

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested three foreign nationals of a smuggling racket with 2.966 kilograms of cocaine through its special operation on different dates. The NCB launched the special operation on August 19 when 30-year-old Shirley Gama, a South African national with passport number A09267513, arrived at the Tribhuvan International Airport from Qatar via a flight of the Qatar Airways. Gama had arrived in Qatar from Johannesburg.
